When the Montana snow melts, it’s a reminder that it’s time to get ready for a day on the river. At Triple Creek Ranch, a five-star Relais & Chateau property in the heart of the Bitterroot Mountains and an Orvis-endorsed lodge, that means trying your luck on the trophy waters of the Bitterroot River.

Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate or expert, float with an experienced guide down the Bitterroot River, or its West Fork or East Fork for a memorable day of trout fishing. The Guides at Fly Fishing Always are renowned in the valley for their historic and extensive knowledge of these waters. These guides are experts on the hatches and proper flies to use, whether it’s an old faithful such as Big Freddy or whatever it might take to catch the big fish.

In order to protect and preserve the stream-bred trout of the Bitterroot’s blue-ribbon waters, all fishing is catch and release. Please note, the months of May and June can be high water with limited fishing and scenic float availability due to snow melt. Complimentary fishing gear is available from Triple Creek Ranch and your guide will furnish the rods, reels, flies and his/her expertise. Y Availability is somewhat flexible with as little as a day’s notice, though it’s recommended that you reserve trip(s) in advance to ensure a preferred guide or a preferred day.
