Switzerland has an entire category of hotels that are called “Swiss Bike Hotels.” The premise is simple: they’re geared towards a relaxed bike tour by road bike, mountain bike or e-bike.

The hosts themselves are cycling enthusiasts. You’re welcome to bring along your own bike along or hire one at the hotel.

What they have in common is that close by, cyclists can access single tracks, downhill mountain bike tracks and panoramic road routes.

In the Lake Geneva Region of Switzerland, they include such properties as Hôtel du Théâtre in Yverdon-les-Bains, which puts you on the Mitteland Route.
