The queen of open cross-country skiing events in French-speaking Switzerland, the Mara takes its participants through the idyllic unspoiled natural landscape of the Nordic trails in the Sainte-Croix/Les Rasses winter resort in Yverdon-Les-Bains.

Every year, on the first weekend in March, the Mara attracts hundreds of competitors and renowned athletes to a fabulous cross-country course. Part of the “Swiss Loppet” calendar and a “Euroloppet” partner event, the Les Rasses Nordic marathon includes freestyle (skating) distances of 12 and 25 km and classic style distances of 12, 22 and 42 km.
